The Splash-View Post-Mortem: Where Is Everybody?

It's the first warm night in a long time and streets of Chelsea are...dead.

53F at night and virtually no one is out and about, whereas only a week or so ago when it was cold, everywhere was--if not necessarily packed--full of action.

I have my theories:
  • The Rapture happened and we're either saved or left behind.
  • People are nervous about the upcoming eclipse (thanks astrobarry)
  • That many people were at the Roxy closing?
  • That many people are prepping for St. Patrick's Day?
  • The Depression started without any final warning.
  • New York finally got too expensive.

Inquiring minds want to know.

From what I've read, I think I'll go with the Roxy!
