I really have little to say about the terror attacks in London today, except that it was tragic to hear of them. I had a brief scare when I realised I hadn't heard from a close friend who was in London last week and I didn't know if he had made it back to New York yet. (He did, and I hope that everyone out there who is concerned about their friends, lovers, and families has the same positive outcome.)
I've had the television on mute for most of the morning, preferring to only glance occasionally at the captions to keep updated. Listening to it reminds me too much of the Admiral Duncan and Brixton nail-bombings back in 1999, two tragedies that will be forever seared on my memory.
