While I was out drinking, apparently Bush named his pick for the Supreme Court. My mother sent me this email with her thoughts:
"Mr. Roberts looks exactly as I imagine an alien representative would be constructed who is to be sent to the world to represent a human being. He is almost too perfect. He sounds as if he has been programmed as well. I know that I am starting to sound like George Orwell, but this is what comes to my mind."
The man is 50, married, with two adopted children aged 4 and 5. I don't know what his opinions are, but having children that late makes me wonder.

Your mother is probably on to something. While I don't think Roberts is the worst possibility I do feel he is a mere political puppet.
