Hear Hear!

Switching to matters Australian for a bit today, yesterday the Logies (Australian Emmys) were held.

Amongst the winners were Gyton Grantley & Kat Stewart who played mafia king & queen Carl & Roberta Williams in the first season of Underbelly. Well deserved, in my opinion.

I find Kat Stewart's statement hopeful:

The thing about Underbelly is that it has reinforced that Australians like Australian stories, and they like them to be told well.

The key word being "well."

i think it's more important that a well-told story be relatable than of any particular nationality. but her point remains valid.
