...and this is a good thing.
The visual combined with the audio with some of these groups is quite interesting, sort of like the balding and paunchy guys from accounting decided to try out their "skillz" on the mike while half-drunk. (Well, no one said that German is a pretty language, an extremely logical language, yes, but not necessarily pretty).

it's been said that languages in which most syllables end with a vowel (such as italian, spanish and japanese) are more conducive to opera because opera needs those ending vowels so that singers can hold on to long notes more easily. for example, if you sing "world" and you want to stretch it out, it's a little awkward to pronounce the "l" and the "d" at the end. but if you sing "mundo," you can really hold on to that "o" at the end for a long time without much fuss.
by contrast, languages with lots of consonants everywhere (such as english and german) are more conducive to rock music -- which, because of the tempo, requires words that can be sung in a punchy manner.
so, the theory goes that, because consonants can be spat out with more verve than mellifuous vowels, english is better suited to rock than opera and italian is better suited to opera than rock.
...which begs the question: how does the german language fare with rap music?
