The State of Our Television Screens (East Coast Style)

Joining in the chorus of calling out television executives and producers on their lunacy/indifference is The New York Daily News which today has these two articles by David Hinkley, the first one slyly jabs the broadcast networks at partly dropping the traditional season scheduling, the other hits hard at the cable networks for creating those inequally bifurcated runs (Like the current resumed run of The Closer).

i've always found it nearly impossible to watch any particular television series with regularity. i mean, who has time? life just gets in the way of me being able to sit down at the same time every week and watch the same show. of course, the answer is the dvr, but i've resisted it so far.
