Post-Dramatic Stress?

Here’s an odd story to kick off 2010. Today’s edition of the Sydney Morning Herald has an article on the side effects of method acting.

Yes, kids method acting can mess you up: The article cites actor-character identification as playing a role (no pun intended) in Heath Ledger’s death, Robert Downey Jr.’s drug addiction, and Daniel Day-Lewis freaking out while playing Hamlet.

Somehow, I suspect the actors in The Hangover are not troubled by this issue…well, Mike Tyson maybe.
