you're right that the video where she's singing in english is pretty incomprehensible. but that might be because she's not a native speaker of english. so, the real question is whether she's as incomprehensible in japanese as she is in english.
and wow... what a blatant rip off of chris cunningham, the guy who directed madonna's frozen video. i suppose it's possible that he also directed mell's video (and that this particular look is just his style), but i highly doubt that he would have "copied" from the frozen video so freely.
