Striking writers hit Manhattan...and Millie from Memphis clearly had no idea that negotiations went on for 11 HOURS and god-knows-how-many weeks prior to strike action being taken.
And if she did know, then she can go sunbathe at Indian Point.

well, to be fair to millie, she only said that she thinks "they should try harder to negotiate." so, how long and how hard everyone negotiated is beside the point. millie only wishes they would try harder than they already have.
