SAG (film actors) & AFTRA (TV/Radio actors) will negotiate their contracts separately. Frankly, after the things hurled at the writers during our recent strike, I hope that neither side goes to strike--but--if one side does, I really hope it's SAG. The sheer comedy of seeing that lot trapsing around Universal City with picket signs would be worth it.
Yes, I have a heavy pro-TV bias.

the last paragraph of the article you linked to is hilarious for its subtlety:
"the alliance of motion picture and television producers, which represents studios, said in a statement that it looks forward to bargaining with aftra. It did not mention sag."
