I like to think that we're living in a right-wing version of 1984, the book, when I'd much rather be living in 1984 the anime year.
But maybe, that's just me, since I've been known to sing "Dreamy My Love"* when drunk.
* I know it's not a slit your wrists type of ballad, but it's the exception that proves my rule.
