It Sounds Admirable, but...

Two organisations are trying to increase the amount of gay black politicians, according to 365gay.

I'm all for it, although I think they have their work cut out for them. It certainly would be an improvement on the current situation. Just no Traynhams or Capeharts, please.

to increase the number of gay black politicians, it can't hurt to provide the "cash prize to the award's recipient" but i think it would be better to provide training and organizational support to gay black people who are actually running for office.

the article mentions that the glli is nonpartisan. so, it's possible that the traynhams and capehearts of the world will benefit from this project, too.
