Apparently, DJ Grooverider was imprisoned for marijuana possesion in Dubai.
I had no idea.
I can't say I'm entirely sympathetic (although the amount is being very petty by the standards of many Western countries), because while the Dubai government may be keen to cultivate the image of being cosmopolitan, it is still an extremely conservative place.
Money has never equalled tolerance.

i think it's ridiculous that he spetn 10 months in jail for having such a small amount of marihuana (which should be legal as long as tobacco is legal).
