since you're a socialist, i would think you'd like the government taking over different companies. ;-)
just think of it as socialization in slow motion -- the gradual nationalization of the economy, one business at a time. at the current rate, almost all american business will be owned by the government in mid-2010.
Nationalization and some control would be great, unfortunately what we have here is the government (taxpayers) paying for the private banks. (so that they can later foreclose your home)
It's capitalism gone mad, and notice that it's only financial institutions that are protected, industry that actually produces something are left blowing in the wind and have no guarantees.
It's wicked and part of a big scheme, one of the biggest crimes you will ever see.
