This is not exactly the sort of news I want to read 6 months before I move to Sydney.
Apparently, Sydney ranks behind Mumbai & Mexico City in terms of public transport.
Not being a fan of driving--and being very pro-mass transit in general--I will say that at least based on my own observations, no metropolitan area comes truly close to New York in terms of having a really effective transit system.*
* That doesn't excuse the MTA, nor the fact that the system itself needs serious upgrading.
