NBC plays coy with their new lineup

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, "I have no idea what on earth is going on over at the Peacock."

They have not completely finalised it (because honestly drawing out suspense is easier than creating decent programming), but the lineup includes:

• Heroes
• Southland
• that anemic Amy Poehler sitcom
• 6 episodes of Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday (trying see if that magic works without a national election)
• a show about paramedics in San Francisco (but Peter Berg is behind it, so it might not be woeful)
• another attempt to turn the 1989 film Parenthood into a television series (previous attempt in 1990)
• a limited run series about a post-apocalyptic Earth.
• a sitcom about a dating coach who has her own dating issues. (Miss Match redux)
• a sitcom set in a community college with Joel McHale and Chevy Chase. (Mmmm...C-list.)
• Jay Leno's pitiful refusal to go into that dark night of retirement.

Law & Order: SVU is back, although it's still up in the air if Meloni & Hargitay will be back. Friday Night Lights, The Office, 30 Rock, and The Celebrity Apprentice(?) are also returning.

They won't talk midseason shows because that would hurt Jay Leno's feelings...or they just don't have a sodding clue about those either.
