I Love You, Mother Nature

We finally have some snow in New York! Granted it's a dusting, but it at least gives me some hope for a blizzard in the future. Plus, it's currently 26 degrees and wind chills tonight are supposed to get down to -5! My treasured memory of having school cancelled (back in Wisconsin) for -30 degree windchill has returned full force. (Tomorrow the high temperature is supposed to be only 20!!)

All that being said, I don't know why I get so giddy about cold weather. In the past, this generally meant a day off of school, but since those days are now long gone, I still have to "brave the elements," as they say. The silver lining is seeing all the people born in warm climates look like they have been whipped silly. Winter isn't for the weak.
