What is going on with Hank Azaria? He looked like he was on his deathbed during the broadcast. Some sort of STD is flying around backstage at Spamalot, I reckon.

Jerry Mitchell celebrates winning his Tony for La Cage aux Folles. Although the number ran a bit long, it was quite clear to me that he did amazing things with the Cagelles as evidenced by their performance during the broadcast. Much more impressive than the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels number earlier.
And in closing: John Patrick Shanley is a mediocre hack. Everybody else involved on Doubt isn't. That being said, I wanted Democracy to win Best Play, even though it had a snowball's chance in hell of doing so.
