Worth Noting
In the year 2005,
you cannot get all the members of the US Senate to sign off on an resolution apologising to the victims of lynching
. More than a dozen senators refused to sign a resolution apologising for the Senate's inaction while lynchings were running rampant in the 1950's. The kicker in all of this, the dozen senators who refused to sign off will most likely remain nameless, since the resolution will be voted upon without roll call.
