Up in Heaven, Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy are crying for our deluded minds

Why oh why did they turn a classy, well-regarded 1960's dramedy into a daft slapstick comedy vehicle for Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac? What could possibly be next? Snoop Dogg in the remake of In the Heat of the Night? People, if you are going to remake a film, at least stick to the original tone. I'm all for a remake of Casino Royale or even better, Skidoo (an all-gay version with Nathan Lane in the Jackie Gleason role and Mario Cantone in the Carol Channing role).
