GLAAD issues a call to action in respect to Gene Shalit's bizarre homophobic review of Brokeback Mountain.
You don't have to like it, Gene, but in what universe would Jack Twist be considered a "sexual predator who hunts down Ennis del Mar?" At least judge it by what actually is onscreen and by what is said.
Update: Peter Shalit, Gene's openly gay son, issues a response. Reading it, I don't think Peter quite grasps why there was a call to action, because he doesn't really address the issue of terminology.
