Alas, Milwaukee takes two steps back (again)

Milwaukee's attempts to become Chicago's answer to Fort Lauderdale--which is to say the swinging, hip, gay-friendly mid-level city--are further squashed by the shuttering of a local production of Naked Boys Singing.

The excuse? No theatrical license.

Yah, right.

Norquist, despite his flaws, at least realised that you have to be good to the gays in order to see a city prosper. That being said, I think this has more to do with the Milwaukee Police Department's entrenched bigotry rather than the city administration.
