New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey announced that he was "a gay American," and...nothing really happened afterwards except for a few little scandals over graft and whether Golan Cipel is lying about being straight.
This incident will be forever etched in my head as the time when I thought that "gay American" meant "happy." Seriously, it took me forever to realise that he was saying he was a homosexual.
August is not my smart month.
